This is a classic Basque 'erromeria' (rural festivity), held on the slopes of Mount Hernio. It combines dance, music, and a pilgrimage to a mountaintop cross (Kalbario). Since the Franco era, dressing in Basque tricolor ribbons has been a form of cultural expression. Today it remains a cherished way for Hernani residents to celebrate community ties and Basque folklore in nature.
