Each spring, the Bulgarian town of Haskovo hosts the Haidushka Sofra, a great competition of folk dance and the circle dance known as horo. Troupes from across Bulgaria and beyond perform in elaborate costume, in a celebration that honors the legacy of the haiduk rebels and the country's deep love of dance.
