Grovely Woods Rights

Oak Apple Day

Each May 29 the village of Great Wishford keeps Oak Apple Day to proclaim its ancient woodland rights in nearby Grovely Woods. The day begins at dawn as villagers bang pots and pans to wake the parish for an early gathering of wood, in a custom centuries old.

Media proof note

The Grovely Woods Rights record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.
