Kefalonia’s economy and culture have long been tied to Robola wine production. The Moustalevria festival recalls the communal nature of past vintages, when families worked together to harvest grapes and make must jelly. It reinforces local identity by celebrating a unique regional product (Robola wine) and by transmitting folk customs (songs, dances, recipes) to new generations.
