Each Good Friday, the town of Żejtun bears the statues of Christ's Passion through its streets for Il-Ġimgħa l-Kbira. Life-size tableaux are carried in a liturgical parade by the parish and band clubs, in a solemn celebration that reflects the town's strong Catholic heritage.

Mass and veneration of the Cross inside the church; visitors stand quietly in solidarity during the solemn liturgy.

Procession Start

Participants carry statues of the Passion out of the church, accompanied by the Beland Band. Spectators line the route to watch the solemn march begin.

Procession Conclusion

Onlookers witness the emotional conclusion as the life-size Crucifix and other statues are carried back into the church amid prayers and music.
