Each June for the feast of Corpus Christi, the town of Genzano di Roma stages the Infiorata, one of Italy's oldest and most famous flower-carpet traditions. Held since 1778 and honored as a national heritage, it covers the streets in elaborate petal pictures, in a celebration of faith and artistry generations deep.
