Each year around March 1, the Gagauz capital of Comrat welcomes spring with the Mărțișor Gagauziada. Ten days of music, color, and traditional motifs fill the cultural center and public squares, in a celebration of the old spring holiday shared across Moldova and given a warm Gagauz spirit all its own.
