Flower Torches Festival

Festa das Tochas Floridas

Each Easter Sunday at dawn, the people of São Brás de Alportel carry long wooden torches decked entirely in flowers through the streets. The fragrant tochas brighten a centuries-old procession that joins faith and local craftsmanship, in a singular Easter tradition unlike any other in the Algarve.

Media proof note

The Flower Torches Festival record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.
