Named after Ukrainian historical figure Stepan Bandera, it embodies the region’s strong nationalist heritage. The festival is organized by civic groups (National Alliance) and draws activists from Western Ukraine. It serves to reinforce a sense of Ukrainian identity, language and heritage in Volyn, especially for politically-engaged youth.
Content can be politically charged; attendees should observe local customs (language pride) and avoid provocative actions. Respect any unofficial religious or national symbolism displayed.
Attendance can be appropriate while active documentation is not. Let local boundaries define your role.
