Festival of the Most Holy and True Cross

Fiestas de la Santísima y Vera Cruz

Caravaca de la Cruz, Spain

May 1 - 5, 2026Expected

Each May, the town of Caravaca de la Cruz celebrates its holy cross relic with five days of processions, pageantry, and Moors-and-Christians reenactments. The high point is the Wine Horses, when teams sprint up to the hilltop castle alongside horses draped in lavish embroidered silks, in a dash that lasts only seconds.
