Each year, a three-day festival gathers the six small Istrian towns where the endangered Istrioto dialect survives. Literary readings, choirs, and folk music in this ancient Romance tongue fill the program, in a celebration devoted to preserving the fragile "language island" of southern Istria.
The Festival of the Istrioto Dialect record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.
