Rouen's annual Norman food-heritage festival, held each October in the historic Vieux-Marché quarter around Place du Vieux-Marché, Place de la Pucelle, Rue Rollon, Rue Guillaume le Conquérant, Rue aux Ours, and Rue Jeanne d'Arc. It brings together over 155 Norman producers, artisans, chefs, and food brotherhoods for tastings, cooking demonstrations, culinary shows, market stalls, music, fanfares, traditional Norman costumes, and a mini-farm. Regional products include apples, cheeses, ciders, meats, charcuterie, seafood, dairy, jams, sweets, and other terroir goods. Admission is free, with 150,000+ visitors expected. Originally created in 1935, the modern edition has run annually since 2001 and is organized by the association Les Vitrines de Rouen.
