The Troyan Balkan region has deep folklore surrounding Enyovden, an ancient Bulgarian holiday venerating the healing power of the summer solstice and herbs. Locals believe in early-morning rituals and the magical properties of plants gathered at dawn on this day. The festival underscores these beliefs through organized guided herb-gatherings, environmental education, and cultural performances.
