Dec 18, 2026ExpectedSource

Each year around Christmas, the Bulgarian city of Silistra gathers caroling groups from across the province for "Stani nine, gospodine." Singers in village dress perform the old koledarski carols, blessings, and ritual dances, each with its own local variation, in a celebration of a midwinter caroling tradition rich in pagan and Christian roots.
