Fêra de Barrancos (Touros de Morte Bullfights)

Festa de Agosto em Honra de Nossa Senhora da Conceição (Fêra)

Barrancos, Portugal

Aug 28 - 31, 2026ExpectedSource

Each August, the Alentejo border village of Barrancos holds four days of festivity famous for its bullfights. Here alone in Portugal, the traditional touros de morte are still permitted, by a special hard-won exemption, in a celebration of Our Lady of the Conception that lies at the very heart of the village's identity.

Media proof note

The Fêra de Barrancos (Touros de Morte Bullfights) record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.
