Transfiguration Day is one of the major feast days in Eastern Orthodoxy. In Rugova it is celebrated in a remote mountain village, symbolizing spiritual ascent. For local Albanians (many of whom follow the Byzantine rite), it represents a merging of faith, nature and heritage.
Wear modest clothing (cover shoulders/legs) when attending the church ceremony. Show respect during prayers.
Attendance can be appropriate while active documentation is not. Let local boundaries define your role.
