Each Epiphany, the town of Veles blesses the Vardar River at Malo Movce for Vodici. After the church service the metropolitan blesses the water and a wooden cross is cast in for young men to retrieve, in a celebration of the regional Orthodox tradition of the Epiphany water rites.
