Eid al-Adha Morning Prayer

Kurban-bajram

On the morning of Eid al-Adha, the faithful of Sarajevo gather for prayers at the city's mosques, above all the historic Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque at the heart of the old town. Families then share the meat of the sacrifice with neighbors and the needy, in a holiday rooted in Bosnia's deep traditions of charity.
