Every other summer, the Alsatian village of Eguisheim, cradle of the region's vineyards, celebrates its wine with the Fête des Vignerons. Locals in traditional costume fill the illuminated town square for a historical procession, church mass, folklore, and dancing, in a warm two-day tribute to the village's ancient winemaking roots.
