Each Easter, the Sorbian Catholic men of Bautzen don top hats and tailcoats and ride out on horseback to proclaim the resurrection of Christ. Their solemn, song-filled procession through the city and surrounding villages is one of the famous Easter Rides of Upper Lusatia, a deeply rooted tradition of the Sorbian minority.
