Each Spark Sunday, the town of Schaan builds a great bonfire on the Dux for the Funken. A children's torchlight procession leads to the Duxkapelle, where the pyre is lit and a witch effigy explodes atop it, in a celebration of the Alpine carnival fire custom of driving out winter.
