Each summer, the Montenegrin coastal town of Ulcinj gathers folk ensembles from across the Balkans for the Dolcinium festival. Ulcinj’s multiethnic history and coastal location make it a crossroads of Balkan cultures. The Dolcinium Festival continues this heritage by inviting folk groups from various Balkan nations, reflecting co-existence of Montenegrin, Albanian, Slavic and other traditions in the region.
