Dita e Verës

Tirana, Albania

Mar 14, 2026Expected

Every March 14, Albania welcomes spring with Dita e Verës, the Summer Day festival. Though it began long ago in the town of Elbasan, Tirana now marks it with a full day and night of free concerts and events, as the whole city celebrates the end of winter and the warmth to come.

Key moments

‘Summer On’ Music Festival

A major highlight, the 7-hour afternoon/evening concert (‘Summer On’) includes well-known artists. Visitors dance, picnic and celebrate together to contemporary music in a party atmosphere.

Grand Opening Concert

Attendees gather in the park as local or national singers/dancers perform, often featuring the Tirana band or children’s folklore ensembles. This launches the day’s events.

Electronic Music After-Party

The night is capped by a club-like open-air music festival with DJs, drawing young adults. Those celebrating into the night enjoy dancing under lights until the official closing.
