Each August, the Hungarian town of Jászberény celebrates the living culture of the Csángó people, a Hungarian-speaking minority from Moldavia and Transylvania. Hundreds of dancers, musicians, and craftspeople gather to perform their distinctive songs and dances, in a warm celebration that keeps a far-flung and fragile heritage alive.
