Each summer, the town of Verneuil-sur-Avre celebrates the old ties between Normandy and Quebec with the Cow and Caribou festival. Concerts, storytelling, and local food fill a cross-cultural fair, in a celebration begun in 2009 that honors the town's links to the early French settlers of Quebec.
