The Corpus Christi Procession in Łowicz is one of Poland's most famous religious and folk-cultural celebrations. Held annually on the feast of Corpus Christi, it transforms the historic town into a vibrant display of Łowicz regional identity as residents from surrounding villages join the procession wearing the region's iconic striped folk costumes (pasiaki). The celebration combines Catholic devotion with living folk traditions, drawing participants, visitors, photographers, diplomats, and cultural enthusiasts from across Poland and abroad. The day begins with a Solemn Mass at the Cathedral Basilica at 10:30, followed by the colorful Eucharistic procession through the city streets stopping at four altars, where Gospel readings are proclaimed in several languages and the local Łowicz dialect. Following the religious ceremonies, folk performances, craft demonstrations, the Parada Pasiaków, concerts at the Park Błonie bandshell, and a folk dance party (Potańcówka Ludowa) on the Bzura river beach continue into the evening. The procession was inscribed on Poland's National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2014 (Entry No. 5) and was featured in National Geographic magazine in 1933.
