Each year, the city of Toledo holds one of Spain's grandest Corpus Christi celebrations, a tradition stretching back to 1418. Awnings and tapestries hang above flower-strewn streets, and a magnificent silver monstrance is carried in a solemn procession through the heart of the old city.
