Corpus Christi Lake Procession

Fronleichnamsprozession auf dem Staffelsee

Each Corpus Christi, the Bavarian village of Seehausen carries its celebration out onto Lake Staffelsee. After Mass, parishioners and visitors process by boat across the water to the lake's islands, in an old and exuberant Upper Bavarian tradition that turns one of the region's most joyful feast days into a journey by water.

Media proof note

The Corpus Christi Lake Procession record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.
