Corcrain’s bonfire is part of Portadown’s week of loyalist commemorations (begins at the Somme anniversary on July 1) culminating in the Twelfth. The tradition reflects local unionist identity and respect for Williamite history. Although globally seen as sectarian by some, in Portadown it is portrayed as community tradition.
