Comino Santa Marija Feast (Boat Pilgrimage)

Festa ta’ Kemmuna (Santa Marija)

Għajnsielem (Comino), Malta

Aug 20 - 22, 2026Expected

Each summer, the tiny Maltese island of Comino revives a centuries-old feast for Santa Marija, the Assumption of the Virgin. Her statue is carried by boat in pilgrimage from Gozo, followed by open-air Masses, a feast dinner, and Maltese folk music, in a heartfelt celebration brought back to life on this all-but-uninhabited island.

Media proof note

The Comino Santa Marija Feast (Boat Pilgrimage) record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.
