Each autumn, the Westphalian village of Clarholz gives thanks for the harvest with a great parade of decorated wagons. Floats built entirely from homegrown vegetables, fruit, flowers, and grain roll through the village after a church service, in a heartfelt Catholic celebration of the season's bounty in the Münsterland.

Like many Catholic farming communities in Münsterland, Clarholz celebrates the harvest with a church service and public festival. The festival is a way to thank God for the season’s harvest and to reinforce community bonds. The parade’s decorated wagons and Erntekronen (harvest wreaths) reflect the local agricultural heritage, combining sacred thanksgiving with folk traditions.
Dress modestly if attending church services; respect fields and private property. Greet locals respectfully to honor the tradition.
Attendance can be appropriate while active documentation is not. Let local boundaries define your role.
