Обласний фестиваль вертепів і колядників «Різдвяний передзвін»
Jan 7 - 19, 2027Expected
Each Christmas, the Donbas village of Zvanivka revives the Carpathian holiday traditions of its Lemko and Boyko families. Costumed carolers carry a hand-built Vertep nativity scene from house to house, singing the old highland carols, in a moving celebration of a mountain heritage carried far from home by displaced families.
The Christmas Chime (Nativity Plays & Carolers Festival) record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.

Zvanivka is a community of Lemko and Boyko descendants forcibly relocated to Donbas in the mid-20th century. Since 2017 residents have revived their Carpathian Christmas traditions, making this festival a living link to their ethnic heritage. It unites participants from western Ukraine and Donbas neighborhoods, highlighting how displaced villagers preserved caroling customs and nativity plays in their new home.
