Chernihiv Citywide Ivana Kupala Festival

Загальноміське свято Івана Купала в Чернігові

Chernihiv, Ukraine

Jul 6 - 7, 2026ExpectedSource

Each midsummer, the Ukrainian city of Chernihiv gathers in its central park for Ivana Kupala, an ancient night of folk magic. Young people weave flower wreaths and float them on the water, couples leap over bonfires at midnight, and old Polissya songs fill the air, in a celebration whose roots run back to pre-Christian times.
