Cascamorras Festival

Fiesta del Cascamorras

Baza, Spain

Sep 6 - 9, 2026ConfirmedSource

Each September, a lone runner called the Cascamorras dashes from Guadix toward the town of Baza, trying to reach a beloved church statue while the crowd does all it can to stop him. The chase plays out a centuries-old story shared between the two towns, in one of Granada province's most spirited traditions.
