On the last Wednesday of August, the Spanish town of Buñol erupts into the world's biggest food fight, La Tomatina. For one riotous hour, tens of thousands of people pelt each other with overripe tomatoes until the streets run red, in a gloriously messy tradition that has drawn crowds since 1945.
