Each September, the wine country of Brotnjo around Čitluk celebrates its grape harvest with a five-day festival held since the mid-1900s. Wine tastings, folk music, and community gatherings fill the days, in a warm celebration of a Herzegovinian region where the vine has shaped life and land for generations.

Visitors see a parade of villagers, local wine producers and cultural groups on Broćan Square, followed by speeches, folk dances, and wine toasts. It sets the festive tone and introduces the week’s activities.
