Bread Day and Cider Festival

Maizes diena un Sidra svētki

Cēsis, Latvia

Jul 25, 2026ExpectedSource

On the last Sunday of July, the Āraiši Windmill near Cēsis celebrates Latvia's new rye harvest with Bread Day. Bakers from across the country grind the year's first rye flour and bake fresh loaves to share, alongside a cider festival, in a warm tribute to the bread that Latvians have long held sacred.

Media proof note

The Bread Day and Cider Festival record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.
