La Botarga de Guadalajara

Guadalajara, Spain

Jan 17, 2027ExpectedSource

Each January 17, the city of Guadalajara honors Saint Anthony Abbot with the Botarga, a colorful masked procession. A central figure called el Manda leads the way through the old center holding a long cane tipped with a fig, in a playful medieval masquerade that mixes pagan and Christian threads of the depths of winter.
