Originating centuries ago as a votive celebration for safe voyages, Boka Night has evolved into a symbolic community event with religious undertones (honoring the Bay’s patroness). The creative boat decorations (readily incorporating local motifs) highlight the maritime identity of Kotor’s inhabitants.
