Each early September, the Romanian commune of Bogdand celebrates the many peoples who share it, Hungarian, Romanian, German, Roma, and Ukrainian, with a folklore festival. A grand parade of traditional costumes, music, and dance fills the village, in a decades-old celebration of a true crossroads of cultures in Satu Mare county.
