Bénichon Festival

La Bénichon

Fribourg, Switzerland

Sep 12 - 14, 2025ConfirmedSource

Each autumn, the Swiss canton of Fribourg celebrates La Bénichon, a centuries-old harvest festival born as a church thanksgiving. Today it is a great folk feast of regional cooking, with long tables of traditional dishes, in a warm celebration that has grown from a 15th-century blessing into a beloved seasonal gathering.

Media proof note

The Bénichon Festival record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.
