Each October, the city of Prizren gathers the many peoples of Kosovo for BalkanFest, a celebration of music and folklore. Albanian, Bosniak, Serbian, Gorani, Turkish, and Roma groups share songs, dances, and costumes alongside guests from across the Balkans, in a festival devoted to the region's shared and varied heritage.

Each October, the city of Prizren gathers the many peoples of Kosovo for BalkanFest, a celebration of music and folklore. Albanian, Bosniak, Serbian, Gorani, Turkish, and Roma groups share songs, dances, and costumes alongside guests from across the Balkans, in a festival devoted to the region's shared and varied heritage.
BalkanFest was founded in 2016 by Plejada (an NGO) with municipal and national cultural funding, to preserve Kosovo’s intangible heritage and foster tolerance. Prizren’s longstanding role as a multi-ethnic city makes it a fitting host.
