This festival celebrates the completion of the Almwirtschaft season. For locals it reinforces communal bonds and ongoing links between town and mountain farming life. It is deeply embedded in Hindelang identity: schools cancel classes, and the date is an informal local holiday.
Maintain silence or soft conversation during the cattle arrival (so as not to stress the animals). Guests should stand behind security ropes at the Scheidplatz.
Attendance can be appropriate while active documentation is not. Let local boundaries define your role.
