Each July, the Sardinian town of Sedilo stages S'Ardia, a fierce and ancient horse race in honor of St. Constantine. Hundreds of riders thunder three laps around the country sanctuary in a cloud of dust, in a thrilling blend of religious devotion and daredevil horsemanship that grips the whole town.
