Each year, the Transylvanian town of Aiud hosts an international folklore festival celebrating Romanian folk music and dance. Ensembles in bright traditional costume perform from Romania and abroad, in the only CIOFF-recognized folk festival in Alba County and a proud showcase of rural Transylvanian tradition.

Spectacol aniversar al Ansamblului Doina Aiudului (Anniversary show by local folk ensemble)

Concert seating in the main square; visitors of all ages can enjoy traditional dance and music. Dress respectfully; seating is general, spectators stand or sit around the square.

Parada portului popular (Traditional costume parade)

Open to the public along the parade route; visitors can watch the colorful display of costumes and may photograph or join in respectfully at the edges of the procession.
