Each July, the Portuguese town of Águeda becomes an open-air work of art, most famously under a floating sky of hundreds of brightly colored umbrellas strung above its main avenue. Street performances, music, and art fill the weeks of AgitÁgueda, in a festival begun by local artists to brighten the town.
