Each year, the Ávila village of Casavieja gathers the masked winter figures of the region for Mascarávila. Cucurrumachos, Machurreros, and other traditional masqueraders join folk dances from the area's villages, in a celebration of the deep ethnographic heritage and old rites of this corner of Spain.
