Each July, the city of Rivne marks the midsummer feast of Ivana Kupala with a festival of folk arts first held in 2023. Wreaths, song, and ancient rites fill the celebration, carrying on a Kupala tradition that ran for many years in nearby Korets before finding a new home in the city.
The All-Ukrainian Folk Festival "Green Kupalo in Midsummer" record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.

Всеукраїнський фестиваль народної творчості «Зелене купало в літо упало»
Rivne, Ukraine
Each July, the city of Rivne marks the midsummer feast of Ivana Kupala with a festival of folk arts first held in 2023. Wreaths, song, and ancient rites fill the celebration, carrying on a Kupala tradition that ran for many years in nearby Korets before finding a new home in the city.
Kupala Night has pre-Christian roots across Ukraine. The festival was relocated from Korets (where it ran 18 years) to Rivne city to revitalize the tradition at a regional level. It showcases Polissya’s rich folk heritage of ritual music, pagan motifs (water nymphs, herbal wreaths), and communal games, reinforcing local identity through ancestral lore.
