The Bukovinian Mosaic festival is a multiethnic cultural celebration introduced in Chernivtsi in 2025. Held on May 24 to mark Ukraine’s Day of Interethnic Harmony, it showcases the traditions and cuisines of Bukovina’s nationally diverse communities (Ukrainian, Romanian, Moldavian, Polish, Jewish, German, etc.) 1 2. Organized as a museum event (at the open-air Folk Architecture Museum), it features folk music, crafts, and ethnic food stalls, with proceeds benefiting veterans and sick children 1.

This new festival reflects modern Bukovina’s rich ethnic mosaic. It embodies a contemporary celebration of cultural diversity, in line with similar UNESCO-style multicultural events in Ukraine.
