Folklore Festival Poľana (Folklórne slávnosti pod Poľanou) is a three-day celebration of Slovak mountain shepherd culture held each July in Detva 1 2. Detva blossoms with music, singing and a festive atmosphere as roughly 1,500 performers from across Slovakia take the stage with fiery music, shepherd melodies and colorful traditional costumes 3 4.
